Fall is here which means puffy jackets, exams and, more importantly, the Woodie Awards! mtvU will be hosting the Solo cup-brandishing event for the sixth year in a row at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City.

That’s right. In between cramming for midterms, passionate music fans will be crammed in the venue for the ultimate live event to watch incredible musical performances, special appearances and winners take their place in Woodie history.

You already know the Woodies will rock the house with amazing performers. Past show stealers include artists like Beck, Death Cab for Cutie, Vampire Weekend, Santigold, Gym Class Heroes, Lykke Li, All Time Low and Imogen Heap.

How do we decide who will go home with the evening’s wood? That’s where you come in. This year, students and music fans from all over the country can vote until November 16 for their favorite artists to win a mtvU Woodie. Nominees include Wale, Death Cab For Cutie, Kings of Leon, MGMT, Matt & Kim, Asher Roth, Drake, Kid Cudi, Silversun Pickups and 30H!3.
