Damien Fahey

VJ

Upon joining “TRL” in 2002, Damien has interviewed countless A-list celebrities and bands, including Madonna, Bono, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Fall Out Boy and The Dave Matthews Band, among many others. As a true music and entertainment fan, Damien speaks with ease about every genre of music, from classic rock to hip hop, all the while effortlessly coaxing answers out of the most reluctant interview subjects. Damien has cultivated many personal relationships with artists over the years, and this formula has made Damien the go-to for MTV’s top tier celebrity interviews and most challenging personalities.

Damien embodies the fusion of online and tech-savvy music lovers that have become the new generation of MTV fans. His quick wit and expansive knowledge of all things music and entertainment has garnered an ever-growing demand from the television community for his hosting abilities to translate into a late night position. Fahey hosted “The Late Late Show” while CBS secured a replacement for Craig Kilborn, who had recently vacated the seat of his late night talk show, in which Fahey became the youngest person to ever audition to host a late night talk show and was one of four finalists for “The Late Late Show” in 2004.

Most recently, Damien has been called upon as a reoccurring guest host on “Live! With Regis and Kelly”. He has also added his voice to Fox’s hit show, “Family Guy”. Damien also hosted “The Br!ck Awards” and has penned music columns for such leading lifestyle magazines as Men’s Health.

A leader in the new generation of TV hosts, Damien will continue as a mainstay on “TRL”, interviewing the nation’s favorite celebrities, while counting down the top hits in music, through the 2008 season.

A talented and dedicated broadcast enthusiast, Damien Fahey has been hosting nationally broadcasted radio and television shows since the age of 16. Fahey began working for WMAS in Massachusetts while only a freshman in high school, and by his graduation he was already hosting his own weekend show as well as “Neils’ Wheels Car Care Show”, a nationally syndicated call-in program for which he also produced. While studying at Northeastern, Fahey joined the staff as a DJ at KISS 108 - one of the most respected and powerful stations in the Northeast. During his post at KISS, Fahey was recruited by MTV for their “Beach House” segments and was quickly promoted to the “TRL” cast in 2002 where he also holds the distinction of being the only VJ to ever host and write for the show. Not content to just interview musicians, Fahey is a musician himself, playing drums in his New York City-based band, Here’s Johnny. Rory Rosegarten of the Conversation Company, Ltd currently manages Fahey.
