New York, NY – March 17, 2008 – Celebrating the best in new music from today’s most popular artists, MTV: Music Television announced today that MTV2 will host its very own “Spankin New Music Week” from March 17th thru March 24th.  The week of special programming will offer fans a preview of the best new music and new releases from the hottest artists in Rock, and Hip Hop. 

Following is a schedule of the shows and artists who will be a part of MTV 2’s “Spankin’ New Music Week”:

Unleashed” – See below for dates

MTV2 will “unleash” new music videos from some of the hottest artists on the network that will premiere in heavy rotation throughout the day.  Video premieres include:

March 17th – We The Kings: “Check yes Juliet”

March 18th – Black Tide: Shockwave”

March 19th – Dizzee Rascal: “Where’s Da G’s”

March 20th – Atmosphere: “Shoulda Known”

March 21st – Lupe Fiasco: “Hip Hop Saved My Life”

March 22nd – The Myriad: “A Clean Shot”

“Sucker Free” – Monday March 17th – Thursday March 20th at 4:30PM and 8:00PM

Fat Joe will host MTV2’s popular “Sucker Free” showcasing the latest in hip hop, while also discussing his career, new album, and much more.

“Sucker Free Countdown” – Saturday March 22nd at 6:00 PM and Sunday March 23rd at 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM

Flo Rida will host the music countdown highlighting the weekly hits amongst MTV2 viewers.

“You Rock The Deuce” – Monday March 17th – Friday march 21st at 9:00AM and 4:00AM

Daily drops feature The Myriad, Black Tide, Metro Station, and Airbourne

“Saturday Rock The Deuce” – Saturday March 22nd at 10PM
