Emerging and Established Artists Engage in a Beach Takeover With Performances by Young Money Including Drake and Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Pitbull, Trey Songz, and B.o.B

MTV Spring Break 2010 kicks off March 20, 2010 with sun-drenched programming and musical performances from artists infiltrating screens on MTV, MTV2, mtvU and MTV.com.  La fiesta will feature the hottest artists, the hottest MTV stars from another sandy shore, and even some hot competitions with a special Spring Break edition of The Real World / Road Rules Challenge and the second mtvU Spring Break USA Rock, Paper, Scissors ChAMPionships.  That’s right, hot, hot, and HOT.  (It is Mexico, after all…)

Spring Break Programming
• Spring Break 2010: Fist Pumpin’ Top 20 With Jersey Shore (March 20th at 2pm ET/PT on MTV) – A seaside bash isn’t complete without our own national treasures. Snooki, Mike “The Situation” and Pauly of MTV’s hit reality show, Jersey Shore, set the tone for this wild south of the border party by counting down the top 20 most outrageous Spring Break moments of all time and getting ready for Spring Break the best way they know how… GTL: hitting the gym, tanning and doing laundry!

• Spring Break 2010 Performances (Performances premiere across MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits MTV Jams and MTV.com beginning March 22nd)—Spring Break 2010 will bring the heat to the beach with scorching performances for those lucky Spring Breakers in Acapulco (starting at 1pm CT March 16 – 17 on the beach). MTV will premiere a performance from a different Spring Break artist each night at 8pm from March 22nd through the 26th.  From artists on the verge of superstardom to fan favorites, the MTV stage is the ultimate destination for music performances from hip-hop legends and artists on the rise:
• Young Money will drop in on the spring break village to perform their first single “Bedrock.” Drake will show the crowd why he’s one of the best names in the game when he takes the stage to perform “Over,” the first single from his upcoming album “Thank Me Later.” The supergroup’s set will feature the first live performance of Nicki Minaj’s new single “Massive Attack” along with other surprises along the way.
• Ludacris will hit the stage with a remix of his hit song “How Low” featuring special guest Pitbull, as well as his current single “My Chick Bad” with Nicki Minaj from his seventh in-studio album “Battle of the Sexes” in stores March 9th.
• Pitbull will kick up some Latin flavor with a set of hot songs from this hit album Rebelution and past favorites.
• The sun won’t be the only source of heat when Trey Songz takes the stage to perform the steamy single “Say Aah.”
• B.o.B is a breath of fresh air, blowing onto the Spring Break stage. The Atlanta native, recently named one of mtvU’s “Freshman 5” artists, will perform “Nothin’ On You” featuring Bruno Mars.
• Spring Break Challenge (March 22-26 at 8:30pm ET/PT on MTV)—After scouring the country in search of new faces, our “fresh meat” spring breakers will go head-to-head to compete for a bounty of cash and prizes. Our new college cast will have the best of the best on-hand to help them face the challenges as fan-favorites return to coach them. The Challenges’ hunky host – TJ Lavin – will take a break from hitting the waves to keep these “freshmen” in line. LMFAO will join TJ on the beach to give their rowdy brand of coverage. From interviewing the competitors to pumping up the crowd, they will show old school commentators how it’s done.

Sucker Free Daily and Sucker Free Countdown: Spring Break Edition (Sucker Free Daily airs from March 22-25 at 3pm and Sucker Free Countdown airs Sunday March 28 at 12pm on MTV2) – Funk Flex will be onsite each day throughout Spring Break to make sure the speakers are blasting. Starting March 22nd, viewers can tune in to MTV2’s Sucker Free Daily at 3pm ET to get an inside look at the hottest acts taking over the spring break village with Funk Flex.

2010 Spring Break USA Rock Paper Scissors League ChAMPionships (airs on mtvU on March 24 and 30)—AMP Energy, in conjunction with the USA Rock Paper Scissors (USARPS) League, gets down and dirty with the second annual Spring Break USARPS League ChAMPionships. Following preliminary rounds at campuses across the country, the best RPS college athletes will go head-to-head with and compete for $25,000 to be used towards college tuition at championship matches during MTV’s Spring Break in Acapulco, Mexico.

Additionally, the freshest face on MTV2 – Desi Sanchez- will make sure the spring break madness continues all week long. Desi will make her spring break debut as she catches up with this year’s celebrity guests and guides viewers through the best moments from the seaside festivities.
