“mtvU Movies & Music Festival” Brings Explosive Performances Together with the Hottest Flicks
Fall Out Boy Headlines Festival with Special Guests Cobra Starship, All Time Low, Metro Station & Hey Monday
Festival Performances Rock mtvU beginning May 11th & Premiere on MTV the Weeks of May 18th & May 25th
For the first time ever, mtvU, MTV’s 24-hour college network, is fusing movies and music together to launch the “mtvU Movies and Music Festival,” a three-city Festival featuring the hottest performers and most buzzed about movies leading up to the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. Headliners Fall Out Boy with special guests Cobra Starship, All Time Low, Metro Station, and Hey Monday are partnering with mtvU and MTV to make the Festival part of Fall Out Boy’s “Believers Never Die Part Deux Tour,” which is sponsored by mtvU / MTV Presents. Fans attending the “mtvU Movies and Music Festival” will get exclusive, advance looks at trailers for this summer’s hottest blockbuster movies and opportunities to win tickets to the 2009 MTV Movie Awards.
Fall Out Boy, who rocked the 2008 MTV TRL Finale, will take the spotlight as the Festival headliner performing hit tracks including “America’s Suitehearts” and “I Don’t Care” from their latest album, “Folie à Deux.” Cobra Starship, 2008 mtvU Campus Invasion performers will also take the stage alongside All Time Low, a 2008 mtvU Woodie Awards “Breaking Woodie” nominee, the 2008 VMA TOUR performers Metro Station, and the infectious emo-pop band Hey Monday. You can catch performances from the Festival on mtvU beginning May 11th and on MTV airwaves during the weeks of May 18th and May 25th.
