RUN’S HOUSE SEASON 4 WINS 2008 NAACP IMAGE AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING REALITY SERIES

February 19, 2008 – New York, NY - Among the gold and platinum records, countless recording plaques and family photos, Rev Run now needs to make room for yet another award. “Run’s House” Season 4 has won the 2008 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Reality Series beating out “Dancing with the Stars”, “America’s Next Top Model”, “Extreme Makeover Home Edition” and even “American Idol”.  The NAACP Image Awards is an annual awards show presented by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People to honor outstanding people of color in film, television, music and literature.

Rev Run and his family have graciously invited MTV and fans into their home for four seasons, giving us a peek into their lives—through the ups and downs, the laughter and the tears.  With his unique style and insightful words of wisdom, Rev Run has truly established himself as one of the most admirable dads on TV.

“Rev Run and the Simmons family are genuine, hip and humble,” said Tony DiSanto, Executive Producer for Run’s House, “We consider them the first family of hip hop and couldn’t be happier to see them and this show honored with this esteemed award.”

“I was humbled and shocked when I heard we won,” said Rev Run, “The other shows we were up against were so huuuuge! Wow.”

“Run’s House” stands on a foundation of love, laughter, faith and pride.  Congratulations to Rev Run and the Simmons family, along with the “Run’s House” producers and everyone who made this show what it is, for a wonderful and well deserved distinction.
