A new roster of global icons surprise college campuses and serve as “Stand In” professors for a day in mtvU’s Emmy-nominated series.  With mtvU cameras rolling, pop culture, celebrity or political figures will visit mtvU affiliate schools to guest teach unsuspecting classes.  Past “Stand In” episodes have featured Madonna, Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel, Rawandan President Paul Kagame, Larry David, Don Cheadle, Bill Gates, Cameron Diaz, John Legend and Kanye West.
